Terraria hosting is a service that allows you to host and play the popular sandbox game on your own server. Install mods to enrich the gameplay experience, add friends and fight bosses together, and customize the server environment to your exact liking.

First, you need to buy one of our Game Panel hosting plans. After that, follow these steps to host a dedicated Terraria server via hPanel:

1. Access VPS at the top menu and click Manage on your gaming server. 
2. From the VPS Overview menu, navigate to the Panel Access tab and save your login credentials.
3. Click the Login URL and enter your credentials to log in to Game Panel.
4. Create a new instance and select Terraria from the drop-down list. You can also install mods like tModLoader and Tshock.
5. Click Create Instance to confirm.

Wait a few minutes as the installation process begins. Once finished, start the Terraria instance and enter your Steam credentials for authentication, and that’s it! 

Terraria is a 2D game, so you don’t exactly need a lot of server resources to run it. According to Terraria developers, the minimum RAM for a small Terraria world with a few players and no mods is 512 MB.

If you want to host a medium-sized world with 10 players, 1-2 GB of RAM is required. For larger worlds with 50 or more players, you need 4 GB of RAM.

To ensure smooth gameplay, we also recommend using a virtual machine with a dual-core processor and SSD storage.

Absolutely! You can easily move to higher plans as your Terraria world gets bigger and more players are joining in. Simply go to the Billing section in hPanel, choose the VPS plan you wish to upgrade, and click Upgrade.

It depends on your Terraria hosting plan. For example, our Game Panel 1 plan offers 1 vCPU core, 4 GB RAM, and 50 GB NVMe SSD storage, which are sufficient for hosting a medium-sized world with around 50 players.

If you want to create bigger worlds with resource-demanding mods and even more players, then the Game Panel 2 plan is the better choice. By paying $1 more, you’ll get double the resources: a dual-core processor, 8 GB RAM, and 100 GB NVMe disk space.
